Matijević has opened a state-of-the-art poultry slaughter facility.
It is equipped with top-of-the-range STORK equipment,
capacity of 4,000 units/hr, i.e. 30,000 units per day.
Production takes place on four separate conveyor lines.
All operations are automated, from the hanging of poultry carcasses
on the conveyor, to stunning, to packing in foil
(polyethylene and polystyrene packaging).
Poultry is chilled using modern technology, with a fresh water-spray
moisturising system. The facility comprises cold-rooms with capacity
for two days of operation. The facility has been built so as to allow
the slaughter, chilling, cutting, packaging and freezing of poultry
whilst complying with all veterinary and sanitary/hygienic requirements.
The HACCP system has also been introduced, which in addition
to quality standards guarantees the safety of the chicken meat produced
in our facility. Special attention is given to the quality and safety of
the raw materials used, to general hygiene and to hygiene at the point
of production. In parallel to this, accredited laboratories carry out regular
microbiological and health analyses, spot-checking products and work surfaces.
Our goal is to produce a safe product that will in terms of safety, quality,
organoleptic and nutritional characteristics, satisfy the taste of a wide range of
customers and users of our products, meet the requirements of HACCP
and applicable standards, legal regulations of health, quality
of meat and meat products.
